Practicing Reflection

Why do some people seem to understand how to reflect on their experiences—and even enjoy the process—while others appear to have no idea? Why do some people seem opposed to any attempt by the facilitator/teacher to help them reflect? Answering either or both of these questions might provide some new understanding about how to improve the learning gained from experiential activities. A more thoughtful consideration and understanding of how people process information might also suggest new techniques to help our participants reflect and gain more from their experiences.
